About Us

Kate began taking riding lessons when she was 14 years old and became hooked on the hard work, dedication, and freedom that the horses provide.   After perusing Equine Business Management and Riding as a career choice at Johnson and Wales University and graduating there in 2008, she then spent the following year in Germany training.   Throughout 2009 she spent several months training at the German National Riding School in Warendorf and the Westphalian German Riding School in Muenster, Germany.  While in Germany, Kate earned her Silver and Bronze Medals, as well as her certification as an International Dressage and Combined Trainer and Instructor.

After she returned back to NJ, she worked for several top trainers, such as Kelly Winner and Gabrial & Suzy Armando.   While with Kelly, she purchased her German Riding Pony and backed him and found the potential and power within the small frame.   She then decided to take a job in Wellington, FL with Marco Bernal in 2010 where she continued to train and brought her pony up to Prix St George.  While with Marco, Kate gained more experience from managing top show horses and facilities, to being an international groom for Pan American Games and World Equestrian Games, and competing several clients horses.

In 2015, Kate got the opportunity to move to the Cayman Islands and become the head Dressage Trainer for Cayman Islands Equestrian Center.  During her 9 month contract there, she was able to bring several horses up to the next level in dressage and/or jumping.  Her students were able to move up to their new riding goal in that short time by finding a more supple and influential aid for their horse.  She also coached for the FEI Young Rider Jump Challenge and for the Cayman Islands Jumper Invitational.

Kate has found that to be successful with any level of horse it require patience and positive reinforcement so the horse can enjoy their work and show their full potential with the least amount of resistance.  Kate is freelance instructor and trainer based out of West Palm Beach and is taking clients yearly or seasonally.   She is currently looking for her next competition horse and is willing to take on consignment horses in the area.  Please contact Kate at 609-468-7198.
